    You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

    One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience1) applying knowledge of Federal, state and local states law enforcement rules and regulations; 2) applying knowledge of criminal and case law, administrative and legal procedures; 3) applying knowledge of investigative techniques, research methodologies, surveillance devices, and self-defense techniques; 4) collecting and assembling facts and evidence in a logical conclusion for presentation.



    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    PPP PILOT: The Washington Headquarters Service is currently operating under an approved reengineered Priority Placement Program (PPP) pilot for all positions in its serviced workforce.
